Iren Lovasz - Voice The Hungarian group Makam is succeeding in creating rich homogenuous sound paintings out of different influences like classical music, jazz or Eastern folklore, a music which in a very broad sense reminds of chamber music and which is rich in sound colours. IREN LOVASZ - Voice Iren Lovasz sings old Hungarian folksongs, which still belong to the oral tradition. Both the texts and the melodies have survived and changed in the vernacular for centuries, without being recorded. Iren Lovasz began to collect these songs as a student of Linguistics and Literature. She sang in folk-music groups and Middle-Age msuci ensembles and was a member of the Gayan Uttejak Orchestra directed by Hortobagyi.
