The vocalist Stepanida Borisova belongs to the Turkish people of Sakha who are living in Jakutia and who are rooted in the religion of shamanism. She is in command of different styles of the Jakutian singing and has taken elements of jazz when working with the Czech jazz drummer Pavel Fajt.
