POSSETTI-BOLOTIN DUO

This duo came into life in 1998 aiming at the recreation of the music of Buenos Aires. This duo features Sonia Possetti in piano and Damián Bolotin in violin and its repertoire includes tangos, waltzes and milongas which cover a wide range of Buenos Aires music since 1920 to our days, as well as pieces composed by the duo. With elaborate arrangements this duo develops a particular style which doesn't overlook the essence and strong roots of tango but incorporates a fresh view of one of the most beautiful music forms in the world.

The EPSA Recording Company edited the first duo CD "entre nosotros" in 1998 and in June 2001 its second CD "ida y vuelta", sponsored by the Music Department of the City of Buenos Aires Government.

SONIA POSSETTI QUINTET
one of the most important tango expressions in Buenos Aires nowadays.

Damián Bolotin: violin
Fabián Keoroglanian: vibraphone
Federico Pereiro: bandoneon
Adriana Gonzalez: double bass
Sonia Possetti: piano, composition and arrangements

In 2002, pianist Sonia Possetti formed her own quintet, driven by her growing production as a composer and the need to find a means to develop and introduce her repertoire. Since then, the quintet has been playing the tangos and milongas composed by pianist Sonia Possetti, characterized by both a delicate orchestral treatment and a young, fresh and free-flowing sonority.

In October 2003, the quintet presented its first discographic work called "Mano de obra" with a new, personal and exquisite repertoire which meant a great contribution to the well-known genre of Buenos Aires music.
They have also performed at the 2003 Buenos Aires Tango Festival as well as in several auditoriums in the city.

Along with Sonia Possetti, the quintet features other first level musicians as:
